This document is focused on the HP printers that do not have full feature HP Printer Driver Install. You should download built-in print driver if full feature HP is not available for your printer device. You can download the full feature driver from the CD that came along with your printer device or from the HP official website.
Step 1: Automatic Driver Software update
Search for Change device installation in windows, choose Change HP Printer Driver Installation settings from the result. Device Installation Settings Window will get displayed. Choose Yes and select Save Changes.
Step 2: Computer and Printer Connection
You can easily connect your computer to the printer either by using the USB cable or by the Local Area network,where windows can easily detect the printer during the HP Printer Driver Installation process.
123 HP Printer – USB connection
Turn on your computer and it should have an active internet connection. Switch on your printer device. Use your USB cable and connect one end of the USB cable to the rear of the printer and the other end to the computer device. If A new Hardware found message prompts, follow the instructions to install the driver.
123 HP Printer – Wireless Connection
Make use of the wireless setup wizard of your printer’s control panel and select your network name and password to connect your printer to the network. You need following information SSID,Network Security password, Computer connected to your wireless network and wireless capable printer. Turn on your printer, router and computer device. Your computer should be connected to the same wireless network as your printer. Unplug the USB and Ethernet cables from the printer. Select Setup from the printer’s control panel and choose network or wireless menu. Choose Wireless setup wizard and complete the connecting process by using those on-screen instructions.
123 HP Printer – Wired Connection
You can make printer and computer connection with a standard Ethernet cable. Ensure that your network router, switch and hub have Ethernet ports. Connect your computer to the Ethernet. Avoid the usage of Standard telephone cable, use Ethernet Cable.Turn on your printer device and remove the plug and protective cover from the Ethernet port. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the printer port and connect the other end to the available port of the network router.
Step 3: HP Printer Driver Installation–wired or wireless connection
Search Devices in Windows search,choose Devices and Printers from the results. Choose Add a Printer,” Choose a device or printer to add to this PC” window opens. If your printer device is in the list, choose next and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the HP Printer Driver Installation. If your printer is not available in the list, choose “ Add a Local printer or network with manual settings”.Choose Next, choose the port to be used choose USB001 for a USB connected printer and click next. Choose Windows Update to get a driver update.
Choose an HP or Hewlett Packard in the manufacturer pane, If your printer device is in the list, choose next and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the HP Printer Driver Installation. If your printer device is not in the list,click the back arrow for two times and choose “ Find printer by other options”. Choose Add a printer using the TCP/IP address or hostname and choose next. Choose autodetect in the device type drop-down list. Enter your IP address in the text box and choose next. You can easily easily IP address by the wireless Network Test Report or Network configuration page. If your printer has display, the IP address will display in the printer’s control panel. Wait Until the printer gets connected to the computer and choose next to install the printer.
Step 4: 123 HP Printer Driver Installation –USB connection
Search for Devices in windows, Choose Devices and printers from the list of results. Choose Add a printer and “ select choose a Device or printer to add to this PC ”. If your printer is available in the list, complete the driver installation by sticking to the on-screen instructions. If your printer device is not available in the list, select “ Add a local printer or network with manual settings ”. Choose Next, choose the port to be used choose USB001 for a USB connected printer and click next. Choose Windows Update to get a driver update.
Choose an HP or Hewlett Packard in the manufacturer pane, If your printer device is in the list, choose next and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the driver installation. Reconnect the USB cable to the printer device and now your printer device is ready to use.
